Merry Christmas from Shutterfly

I was reading a post on one of my favorite blog sites (click here) recently and found out about an awesome Shutterfly deal that I'd love to take advantage of share with you!  I've used Shutterfly many times over the past few years and I LOVE the quality of the products that I've gotten back (calendars, photo books, return address labels).

One of my favorite things about the holiday season is to pick up the mail and weed through all of the advertisements, bills, and junk mail to find those colorful personalized envelopes!  All of my scrapbooking friends know how much I love my photos, so I especially LOVE receiving photo cards from family and friends and, don't tell anyone, but I think I am one of the few people that even love to receive those looooong family letter updates!  It's such an awesome way to keep in touch and to see how much everyone's kids have grown throughout the year.

Check out the following links for an amazing assortment of Christmas and Holiday Cards:

4th Quarter Makerover

Do you notice anything different?!  My techie daughter has re-designed me again and I love it!  I wish I had the patience to learn how to do the stuff that she does, but my eyes can't even keep up with how fast her fingers move over the keyboard!  Anyway, I love my look... thank you Miss Hay!

More Drama

Hayley has the honor of being in another musical production at Kentlake High School.  She's such a lucky, lucky girl!  This will be her fifth production that she's been in!  This time around it went down a lot differently though.  In the past she's been asked to audition, but this time she (and her friend, Maddy) got a call from the director with just two weeks prior to opening night!  Cressey, the director... love you Cressey..., is known for adding things at the last minute, but usually it's just the props.  This time she thought it'd be funny to add a couple of mermaids to one scene and that's literally what it is... ONE SCENE!  And guess when that scene is?  During the last 15 minutes of the three hour play!  Anywaaaaaay, all she has to do is sit on a rock, flip her fin, and sing a song along with the chorus.  The girls do look supercute though...
Sooooo, in the past two weeks, I've spent a few days (11 hours total!) in the green room at the high school sewing, sewing, sewing.  It's something that I really enjoy doing even though I'm not very good at it.

Tonight was the family preview show and I'm happy to say that I completed the costume just hours before the opening.  I think they turned out pretty cute.

Halloweeen Weekend 2010

I saw a version of this cute Frankenstein popcorn cover at a Farmer's Market this summer, so I decided to copy it and make one for all of the teachers and staff at Luke's school for Halloween (I'm on the Teacher Appreciation Committee).  Luke and I put one in each of the teachers boxes on Friday morning and from what I hear they loved it!
The real fun started on Friday afternoon with a 'Batty' party in Luke's class.
Friday night pumpkin carving... Luke did his all by himself from start to finish!
We dropped off Hayley and her friends at a Halloween party on Saturday night and then we hit a party of our own.  Luke won for Best Kid Costume.  I just don't get why Wes and I didn't win... a hippie and the Brawny Man... it's brilliant!  We were robbed!
Kid Rock, Lisa, Jane and me.
On Halloween eve, we met up at the Reitan's house for some pizza and then fun trick-or-treating.  Here's the gang just prior to heading out the door.  So darn cute!
These were my favorite costumes this year...
Had to have my picture taken with the only other adult that I saw that dressed up!  Jeff and I know how to have a good time!  Thought his costume was a riot... he was one of the rescued miners in case you couldn't tell.
Finished up this fun, fun weekend counting our earnings at the Lang's house!  We made out!

Pumpkin Patch

Well, I warned you... I have a bit of catching up to do on my blog!  This trip to the pumpkin patch was about 2 1/2 weeks ago!  We try to visit a different pumpkin patch every year... this year we chose to go somewhere close.  We picked a gorgeous day to go to Thomasson Farm in Enumclaw.  I was a little sad because the pumpkins just weren't as vibrant as they have been in years past... not enough sun this year, I guess.  Regardless, we had a great time hanging out together and I was able to get my fall photos!  :)
After a little convincing, Hayley agreed to pose for me.
One of the highlights was sling-shotting the apples.  We missed the targets, but the kids loved it.
While we were waiting in line to do the sling shot, Hayley captured this photo of the man that we were right behind... get it?... right BEHIND?  get it?  I crack myself up... get it?  CRACK?!  :)
Luke picking out all of the pumpkins for his Halloween party.

Our one rule for pumpkin picking is that you have to be able to pick it up and carry it to the cash register.  Luke was a bit ambitious.  He didn't make it far with this one!
HAPPY FALL ALL!
